Aaqib Javed on Umran Malik and Haris Rauf: At present, if we look at the fastest bowlers in the world, the names of Umran Malik and Haris Rauf come first. These are two such bowlers who have the power to bowl at a speed of 150 or more. It is often discussed whether Umran Malik or Haris Rauf will break the record of Shoaib Akhtar’s fastest ball first. However, the opinion of former Pakistan fast bowler Aaqib Javed is different. According to him, Umran is not as fit as Harris Rauf is. He said that the speed of Umran decreases from 150 km per hour to 136 km KPH. While this is not the case with Harris.
Umran’s fitness is not like Harris
Talking to Events and Happenings from a digital news platform of Pakistan, Aqib Javed said, comparing Umram Malik and Haris Rauf is the same as comparing Virat Kohli to the rest of the batsmen in the world. Actually Aaqib wanted to say that the status of Virat in batting is the same as that of Haris Rauf in bowling. That is, his reference was to describe Haris Rauf as Virat Kohli.
He further said, Umran Malik is not as trained and fit as Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf. If we look at Umran in ODIs, he bowls at a speed of 150 kmph in his first spell. But till the seventh or eighth over, his speed remains at 138. It is the same way as Virat Kohli and the rest of the batsmen in the world. Haris is very disciplined about his diet and training. I have not seen a single Pakistani bowler who takes diet like Haris. Bowling at 160 kmph doesn’t matter to me. It is more important for me to bowl at the same pace throughout the match.
